Characters for Passwords, Network Keys and Names
When defining passwords, keys and names, not all characters are allowed.
Note:When they are defined, passwords are depicted in clear text. Once they have been saved, every time they are entered they will be displayed encoded.
Passwords(Security Codes) and Network Keys
- Passwords may have a maximum of 32 characters.
- Network keys must be between 8 and 63 characters in length.

Names for Users
- User names must begin with a letter from a to z, in upper or lower case.
- User names name may not begin with spaces.
- User names may have a maximum of 32 characters.
- The password field may not be left blank.

Names for Wireless Networks (SSIDs)
- Wireless network names may not begin or end with spaces.
- Wireless network names may have a maximum of 32 characters.
- The password field may not be left blank.

Names for Devices
- Device names may not start or end with a hyphen
- Device names may not be composed of only numerals.
