Saving Data from Internal Memory

You have the option of saving the data from the FRITZ!Box's internal memory.

Example

Saving data from the internal memory of the FRITZ!Box may be necessary, for instance, before you load the factory settings, because the internal memory is deleted when the factory settings are loaded or the FRITZ!Box is restarted. If faxes or answering machine messages are stored there, they will be lost.

Saving Data by FTP

  1. In the FRITZ!Box user interface, open the "Home Network / Storage (NAS)" menu.
  2. In the "Storage Device(s) at the FRITZ!Box" area, click "Internal memory".

    The "FTP Root" window opens.

  3. Press the "Alt" key, click the "View" menu in the browser and then "Open FTP site in Windows Explorer".

    The Windows Explorer opens.

  4. Move the "FRITZ" folder to your computer or to a connected USB storage medium.

Your data from internal memory have now been saved.

In general it is possible to save received faxes and answering machine messages right to a connected USB storage medium rather than on the internal memory of the FRITZ!Box. To do this, go to the "Telephony / Telephony Devices" menu and define the setting "Use USB storage device" for integrated fax reception or the integrated fax machine.
