Configuring Contacts in CardDAV Format as a Telephone Book

You can set up an online address book in CardDAV format as a telephone book in the FRITZ!Box and use the telephone book in one or more FRITZ!Fon cordless telephones.

Your online address book and the telephone book in the FRITZ!Box will be synchronized automatically so there is no need for double administration.

Requirements

  • The web address of the CardDAV server starts wíth "https://".

Instructions: Setting Up a Telephone Book

  1. Select "Telephony / Telephone Book" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "New telephone book".
  3. Assign a name for the telephone book.
  4. Enable "Use the telephone book of an online provider".
  5. Select "CardDAV" as the "provider".
  6. Enter the web address of the CardDAV server. This information is supplied by the provider of your online telephone book.
  7. Enter your user name and password.
  8. Under "Telephone Assignment", select which FRITZ!Fon cordless telephones are to have the telephone book available.
  9. Click "OK".
