Restoring Telephony Data

Telephony data that have been previously saved in the "System / Backup / Save" menu can be restored – along with saved FRITZ!Box settings – in the same FRITZ!Box or in a different FRITZ!Box model. Restoring the data loads them to the internal memory of the FRITZ!Box. This overwrites any telephony data already saved there. Telephony data located on a connected USB storage medium are automatically available as soon as this USB storage medium is connected to the corresponding FRITZ!Box.

Important:Saved telephony data can be restored only together with saved settings.

Requirements

  • In the FRITZ!Box where you want to restore the telephony data, you previously also restored the saved settings of the FRITZ!Box from which you saved the telephony data.

Instructions: Restoring Telephony Data

  1. Select "System / Backup / Restore" in the user interface.
  2. Enable the "Telephony data" option.
  3. Click on "Browse" to select the "FRITZ.Box[...].assets.zip" backup file from which you want to restore telephony data.
  4. The telephony data are read into the internal memory of the FRITZ!Box and the FRITZ!Box is restarted. After the restart and your password entry you will be automatically routed to the FRITZ!Box "Overview" page.

The telephony data have now been restored.
