Recording Memos

With the FRITZ!Box answering machine you can record memos (voice notes), which you can listen to like messages. If desired, you can have new memos emailed to you automatically. 

Requirements

  • An answering machine is configured in the FRITZ!Box. The answering machine can be switched on or off.

Instructions: Recording a Memo with FRITZ!Fon

Here is how to record memos with the latest FRITZ!Fon cordless telephones:

  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Select "Answering Machine".
  3. Press the "Options" selection button.
  4. Select "Record Memo".
  5. Record the memo. Press the "clear call" button to end the recording.

The message button on FRITZ!Fon will flash.

Instructions: Recording a Memo with Another Telephone

  1. Dial the internal number for memos:

  2. Record the memo. Press the "1" key to end the recording.

Instructions: Listening to a Memo

You can listen to memos in various ways:

  • Press the message button on your FRITZ!Fon.
  • Listen to the answering machine at home via the voice menu, or from on the go using remote playback.
  • If you enable the "Send messages via e-mail" setting for the answering machine, the FRITZ!Box sends your recorded memos (as audio files) to a previously defined email address.
