FRITZ!Box or Power Adapter Heats Up

Depending on its operation capacity, the FRITZ!Box can heat up. To avoid heat accumulation, we recommend placing the FRITZ!Box in a location with no exposure to additional heat and good heat dissipation.

  • Make sure that the ventilation slots are not covered. Do not place the FRITZ!Box on a carpet or on upholstered furniture.
  • Do not expose the FRITZ!Box or its power adapter to direct sunlight.
  • Do not place the FRITZ!Box inside a closed cabinet or casing.
  • Do not place the FRITZ!Box on or directly next to devices that also produce heat.
