Configuring iCloud Contacts as a Telephone Book

You can set up your iCloud contacts as an online telephone book in the FRITZ!Box and use the telephone book in one or more FRITZ!Fon cordless telephones. The FRITZ!Box telephone book and your iCloud contacts will be synchronized automatically so there is no need for double administration.

Requirements

  • Two-factor authentication or two-step verification is enabled for your Apple ID (for instructions, see support.apple.com).

Instructions: Setting Up a Telephone Book

  1. Log in to your Apple ID account at appleid.apple.com/.
  2. In to the "Security" section, click on "Generate Password" under "App-Specific Passwords".
  3. Generate an app-specific password for the FRITZ!Box telephone book and make note of the password.
  4. Select "Telephony / Telephone Book" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  5. Click "New telephone book".
  6. Assign a name for the telephone book.
  7. Enable "Use the telephone book of an online provider" and select the provider "iCloud (Apple)".
  8. Enter your Apple ID and the app-specific password.
  9. Under "Telephone Assignment", select which FRITZ!Fon cordless telephones are to have the telephone book available.
  10. Click "OK".
