AVM parental controls are installed on the computer as a service. The service must be enabled at all times so that the FRITZ!Box detects the user accounts. If the service is disabled, the FRITZ!Box cannot recognize the user accounts and cannot apply the access rules configured for each account. User accounts that are not recognized by the FRITZ!Box are treated as user accounts without any parental controls configured.
Making a Windows User Known to the FRITZ!Box

- Connect to the Internet (e.g. by opening the website en.avm.de in the web browser).
The Windows user is now displayed on the "Child Protection" page in the "Internet / Filters" menu of the FRITZ!Box user interface.
