Using the integrated HTML placer you can now play back videos or music files directly in FRITZ!NAS. Pictures can be shown in a slide presentation, shared directly with friends, and then deleted. Also new: If the player is playing a track, you can browse in your FRITZ!NAS without interrupting the music. It is also even more convenient to operate the storage media connected to the FRITZ!Box: Files, or even groups of files, can now be uploaded simply by drag & drop.

With the new FRITZ!OS the media server grants playback devices direct access to the "All Inclusive" Google music service.

So that you can find the data saved in NAS even more easily, new icons for shared files and folders make for a clearer overview. Now searches for metadata are possible and can use filtering. This means you can search for folders and files with certain names, or find all photographs saved on a certain date.

Page loading has been accelerated considerably, so that pages and folder contents are displayed much faster. At the same time, FRITZ!NAS benefits from optimized throughputs at the USB port of the FRITZ!Box.
