Configuring FRITZ!Box as a Mesh Repeater

You can configure the FRITZ!Box as a Mesh Repeater.

Configuring FRITZ!Box as a Mesh Repeater

As a Mesh Repeater, the FRITZ!Box extends the Wi-Fi range of another FRITZ!Box. The other FRITZ!Box is the "Mesh Master". Through the extended Wi-Fi network, wireless devices like computers and smartphones receive access to the internet even where the Wi-Fi network of the Mesh Master is weak or cannot be reached at all.

The Mesh Repeater automatically adopts the Wi-Fi settings from the Mesh Master, for instance, the Wi-Fi network name (SSID), the network key, the schedule, and the guest access.

The connection to the Mesh Master can be established via Wi-Fi or using a LAN cable.
