Configuring Sunrise/Sunset Switching for a Socket/LED Lamp

You can configure various types of automatic switching for the socket and LED lamp. Sunrise/sunset switches the socket/LED lamp on at sunrise or sunset (+/- 2 hours, can be set in several steps). You define how long the socket/LED lamp remains switched on.

Automatic switching can either be configured for an individual Smart Home device or for a group of multiple Smart Home devices.

Instructions: Configuring Switching for a Socket/LED Light

  1. Select "Smart Home / Device Management" in the user interface.
  2. Click on the "Edit" button for the desired Smart Home device.
  3. Click on the "Switch Automatically" tab.
  4. Enable the "Schedule enabled" checkbox.
  5. Continue with the section "Specifying Switching Times".

Directions: Configuring Automatic Switching for a Group

For a new group:

  1. Select "Smart Home / Groups and Templates" in the user interface.
  2. Click on "Create Group".
  3. Select all of the devices that are to belong to this group and then click on "Next".
  4. Enter a group name and click on “Next”.
  5. Click on "Configure Group Now".
  6. Enable the checkbox "Switch group automatically".
  7. Select the kind of switching and define the switching times.
  8. Click on "OK".

For an existing group:

  1. Select "Smart Home / Groups and Templates" in the user interface.
  2. Open the settings of an existing group by clicking on the "Edit" button next to the group switch.
  3. Select the kind of switching and define the switching times.
  4. Click on "OK".

Instructions: Specifying Switching Times

  1. Select the "Sunrise/Sunset" option.
  2. Enter the latitude and longitude of your location or click "Autopositioning". For autopositioning a current web browser is required.
  3. Select whether the socket/LED lamp is to be switched on at sunrise or sunset. You can also select both.
  4. Select for "Switch on" the time at which the socket/LED lamp is to be switched on.
  5. Under "Duration", define how long the socket/LED lamp remains switched on.
  6. Click on "OK".

Automatic switching is configured.
