Forgot password to open the user interface?

The FRITZ!Repeater offers you two ways to access the user interface when you have forgotten your password:

The "Forgot Password" push service sends you an access link to the specified e-mail address if you have forgotten your password. With this link you again can access the FRITZ!Repeater user interface.

  • Resetting the FRITZ!Repeater to factory settings

After resetting the FRITZ!Repeater to its factory settings you can open the FRITZ!Repeater user interface without a password.

When the factory settings are restored to the FRITZ!Repeater, all of the settings you made in the FRITZ!Repeater are overwritten and the FRITZ!Repeater is returned to its default configuration.

No login (not recommended)

When the "No login" setting is selected, FRITZ!Repeater users are not prompted to enter a password. The user interface of your FRITZ!Repeater is not protected.

  • all FRITZ!Repeater users can change all FRITZ!Repeater settings
  • external attacks on your FRITZ!Repeater cannot be ruled out.

We strongly recommend setting up and using password protection for the user interface. Why should you protect the user interface with a password?
