Base Station
A DECT base station is integrated in your FRITZ!Box, on which you can register and configure a total of up to 6 cordless telephones.
The "DECT / Base Station" menu presents the settings for the DECT base station.
Security
Permit only secure connections (recommended)
When this option is enabled, FRITZ!Box only permits authenticated and encrypted DECT connections. This option is enabled upon delivery of the FRITZ!Box.
Permit non-encrypted connections
Enable this option if you would like to use a DECT repeater from another manufacturer that does not support encrypted connections.
Do not enable this option if you use a FRITZ!DECT Repeater or another FRITZ!Box as a DECT repeater. Connections with a FRITZ!DECT Repeater or another FRITZ!Box are encrypted.
Please note: You cannot use the following FRITZ!Box functions when the setting "Permit non-encrypted connections" is enabled: web radio, podcast, defining a new background image for FRITZ!Fon cordless telephones, adding photographs for the display of the telephone book on FRITZ!Fon cordless telephones.
