Network Settings

On the "Network Settings" page you can make changes to the network settings of your FRITZ!Box.

Inappropriate settings can have the result that the FRITZ!Box user interface is no longer accessible!

Click on the "Apply" button to save your settings. If you leave the page without saving, all of your changes will be discarded.

Guest Access

Guest access enabled for LAN 4

Proceed as follows to set up a LAN guest access connection:

  1. Enable the "Guest access for LAN 4 enabled" option.
  2. Then connect the guest device to the "LAN 4" port of your FRITZ!Box using a network cable.

This concludes the setup of LAN guest access.

The connected device has no access to your home network or to the connections of your WLAN guests.

LAN Settings

Network devices on the LAN ports of the FRITZ!Box influence the power consumption of the FRITZ!Box.

For energy-efficient use of your FRITZ!Box, in the "LAN Settings" you can specify for each individual LAN port whether it should always operate with full power (power mode) or with reduced energy consumption (green mode). With green mode you can reduce the power consumption of the FRITZ!Box to the level necessary for your applications.

Click with the mouse to select the desired mode for each LAN port:

ModeProperties
Power Mode In this setting the FRITZ!Box establishes LAN connections with a maximum data rate of 1 gigabit/s, such that the LAN interface requires more power than in the "green mode".
Green Mode In this setting, LAN connections are established with a data rate of 100 megabits/s to keep the LAN interface's power consumption to a minimum.
