Night Service / Do Not Disturb

In the night service you can set up a Do Not Disturb function for the connected telephones. The Do Not Disturb function ensures that no telephones will ring during a freely definable period (for instance, between 11 pm and 6 am).

Click on the "Apply" button to save your settings. If you leave the page without saving, all of your changes will be discarded.

Device Response during Do Not Disturb

During the period you defined for Do Not Disturb, the telephones and other devices will respond as follows:

  • Telephones connected with the FRITZ!Box will not ring. Exceptions to this are IP telephones and smartphones, for which you cannot configure Not Disturb in the FRITZ!Box.
  • Connected fax and answering machines are disabled.
  • Enabled internal devices of the FRITZ!Box (fax reception, internal answering machines) remain enabled. The Do Not Disturb setting has no effect on fax reception or the internal answering machines.

Setting Up Do Not Disturb

  1. Select the setting "Do Not Disturb enabled".
  2. Enter in the "from" and "until" fields the period during which (for instance, 11 pm to 6 am) Do Not Disturb should be enabled.
  3. Click the "Apply" button.

Do Not Disturb is now enabled and switched on.

Disabling Do Not Disturb

  1. To have the telephones ring again, disable the "Do -Not Disturb enabled" option.
  2. Click the "Apply" button.

Do Not Disturb is now switched off.

Do Not Disturb for Individual Telephones

Instead of setting Do Not Disturb for all telephones, in the FRITZ!Box you can also set the Do Not Disturb feature for individual telephones.

To configure Do Not Disturb for a certain telephone, select the "Telephony / Telephony Devices" menu. Click the "Edit" button to open the telephone settings and then select the "Do Not Disturb" tab.
