DECT / Repeater

You can configure the FRITZ!Box as a DECT repeater. When used as a DECT repeater, the FRITZ!Box increases the range of another FRITZ!Box's DECT radio network.

Your cordless telephones automatically connect to the FRITZ!Box with the stronger signal. This allows you to make cordless calls without disruption, even in larger buildings or on different stories. All of these connections are securely encrypted.

Configuring the FRITZ!Box as a DECT Repeater

  1. Select the "DECT repeater enabled" option.
  2. Under "Registration", enter the PIN of the FRITZ!Box that is your DECT base station.
  3. Click "Apply".
  4. The FRITZ!Box attempts to register at the DECT base station. The "Info" LED on the FRITZ!Box begins flashing.
  5. Now press the "DECT" button on your base station. Hold down the "DECT" button until the "Info" LED of the base station starts flashing as well.
  6. The FRITZ!Box is registered on the DECT base station as soon as both “Info” LEDs stop flashing.
  7. Register all cordless telephones on the FRITZ!Box that is used as the DECT base station.

Once the "DECT repeater enabled" option has been enabled, you can no longer use any other DECT functions on this FRITZ!Box. The "E-mail", "Web Radio", "Podcast" and "RSS Feeds" menus are no longer available.
