Cable Information Overview

This overview diagram shows you properties of the FRITZ!Box, the cable-nternet connection and the CMTS remote network.

FRITZ!Box

You receive the following information on the FRITZ!Box:

  • The version number of the modem driver in the FRITZ!Box.
  • The MAC address of the cable modem integrated in the FRITZ!Box.

Connection

The following information on the connection is displayed:

  • Graphic display: The channels that are assigned to you line by the cable network operator.
  • The duration of the cable-Internet connection since the last time the connection was established.
  • The EuroDOCSIS protocol used.
  • The number of channels available on your cable line in the receiving direction.
  • The number of channels available on your cable line in the sending direction.

Headend (CMTS)

CMTS stands for "Cable Modem Termination System". The CMTS peer is located at the cable header station of the cable network operator. The following properties are displayed:

  • The manufacturer of the CMTS peer.
  • The MAC address of the CMTS peer.

EuroDOCSIS frequency band

The two bars represent the frequency band for cable Internet connections. The range from 5 to 65 MHz is available for the send direction; the range from 112 to 999 MHz is available for the receive direction. Each of the channels used by your cable line is marked on the bar. When you place the mouse cursor on a marking, the frequency of the channel will be displayed.
