Rules for Real-time Applications

Click on the "OK" button to save your settings. If you leave the page without saving, all of your changes will be discarded.

Here is how to set up rules for the "Real-time Applications" category:

  • Select from the upper list the network device to which the rule should be applied.
  • Select from the list of network applications the application that should be treated with higher priority when the internet connection is running at capacity.

Selection Instructions:

Network Device Network Application Instructions
All devices Application XY If you select the "All devices" entry from the list of network devices, then you must select a concrete application from the network applications. This selection applies the rule to all of the devices present in the FRITZ!Box network. Use this selection combination if an application is to be treated with higher priority on all devices.
Device XY All If you select the "All" entry from the list of network applications, then you must select a concrete device from the network devices. This selection combination is suitable when all applications on a certain device are to be treated with higher priority. With this setting you can ensure, for instance, that a certain computer always has priority over all other computers.
