Configuring MyFRITZ!

MyFRITZ! is a service by AVM that grants you access to your FRITZ!Box from the Internet. With MyFRITZ! you can reach FRITZ!NAS, your answering machine or your call list from anywhere in the world: this means that photos, music and documents on a storage medium connected to the FRITZ!Box, answering machine messages and the call list are available over the Internet.

An activated MyFRITZ! account is a prerequisite for using the MyFRITZ! service.

The following steps are necessary to configure MyFRITZ! service:

  • MyFRITZ! account configuration

    For this you must assign a MyFRITZ! password. The MyFRITZ! password is required for logging in to the MyFRITZ! service.

  • Setting Up Access to the FRITZ!Box from the Internet

    For this you define a FRITZ!Box Internet password.. The FRITZ!Box Internet password is required to access your FRITZ!Box from the Internet.

  • Registering a MyFRITZ! Account

Setting Up a MyFRITZ! Account in the FRITZ!Box

NOTE:

Before setting up a MyFRITZ! account, make sure that your Internet connection is active.

Proceed as follows to set up the MyFRITZ! service:

  1. Switch to the "Internet / MyFRITZ!" menu in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. On the "MyFRITZ! Account" page, enable the "Create a new MyFRITZ! account" setting.
  3. Enter your e-mail address.
  4. Assign a MyFRITZ! password.
  5. Click "Continue".

The next step is to configure access to the FRITZ!Box from the Internet.

Setting Up Access to the FRITZ!Box from the Internet

  1. Now define a FRITZ!Box Internet password.

    Note:The FRITZ!Box Internet password is saved only in the FRITZ!Box and remains concealed from AVM.

  2. Click "Continue".

    The user name and FRITZ!Box Internet password assigned here also serve as the user name and password for remote access of your FRITZ!Box.

  3. Confirm the pop-up window.

    The dialog for setting up an Internet password opens.

The next step is to register the MyFRITZ! account.

Registering a MyFRITZ! Account

MyFRITZ! sent you an e-mail to the e-mail address you specified with the subject line "Conclude MyFRITZ! registration".

  1. Open the e-mail from MyFRITZ! and click the link to register.

    The "User Account Activation" window is opened in your web browser.

  2. Enable the setting "I agree to the terms of use" if you agree to the terms of use.

    Read the terms of use carefully first.

  3. Then click "Activate Account".

    Registration starts. Please wait a moment.

  4. In the next step you are notified about successful registration.

    After 20 seconds you will be automatically redirected to your FRITZ!Box.

  5. Click the "Click to continue" link to go directly to the "MyFRITZ!" page in the "Internet / MyFRITZ!" menu of your FRITZ!Box.

    Successful registration is indicated by the green LED and the status "Your FRITZ!Box is registered at MyFRITZ!".

This concludes the configuration of your FRITZ!Box for the use of MyFRITZ! service. Now you can use the service.
