Answering Machine Functions

• Voice to mail: If desired, you can receive new messages automatically by e-mail.
• Schedule: For individual days of the week you can specify the times at which the answering machine is switched on.
• Remote playback: You can check the answering machine from on the go.

Instructions: Configuring the answering machine

1. Select "Answering Machine" from the "Telephony" menu.
2. Click "Configure Answering Machine" or "Another Answering Machine".

   

3. Specify the mode, greeting delay and recording length:

   Setting	Function
   Operating Mode	"Greeting only": Callers hear a recording. Record messages: Callers hear a recording and can leave messages.
   Greeting delay	How long the telephone will ring before the answering machine accepts a call.
   Recording length	How long a caller has to leave a message.

4. Enter a name for the answering machine.
5. Click “Next”.
6. Define which calls the answering machine accepts: Enable the "accept all calls" option (only available for the first answering machine) or select one or more telephone numbers.

   All of the telephone numbers configured under "Telephony / Own Telephone Numbers" are available, as long as they have not yet been assigned to an answering machine.

7. Click "Continue".
8. Check the settings of the answering machine and then click "Apply".

The answering machine has been configured.

Switching the Answering Machine On and Off

1. To switch an answering machine on or off, click the  switch or .

Messages

Under "Messages" on the "Answering Machine" page you can access your messages. The overview contains the following information and buttons:

Information / Button	Meaning / Function

Date	Date and time of the call
Name / Number	The telephone number of the caller or name from the telephone book (if the caller's telephone number was transmitted).
Outgoing Caller ID	Telephone number for which the call arrived
Duration [hh:mm]	Duration of the call
Button	Save the caller's telephone number in telephone book
	Listen to and Save Message
	Delete message
