Editing a Group of Sockets and/or LED Lamps

Smart Home / Groups and Templates / Edit Group

Groups can be set up in order to control multiple switchable sockets and or LED lamps at the same time. On the "Edit Group" page you can check and change the settings of a group after it has been configured.

Settings

The following settings are available:

SettingDescription
Group name freely selectable name
Smart Home devices switched in the group You can add sockets and/or LED lamps to or remove them from the group.
Automatic Switching Schedule
Switching a group via a Smart Home device ("Master") You can define a Smart Home device (actuator) as the "Master". The entire group can be switched on and off via this device, which does not have to belong to the group; see Switching Smart Home Devices On and Off in Groups.

How does automatic switching work?

The various automatic switching options have the following features and functions:

SwitchingFeatures / Functions
According to schedule Different times can be set for switching devices on and off on different days of the week. Multiple switching times per day can also be configured.
daily The times defined for switching on and off are valid for all days of the week.
Random The sockets/LED lamps switch on and off multiple times during a freely selected period of time. The switching times are selected at random.
Countdown

A countdown begins every time the sockets/LED lamps are switched manually: After the period you specified, the sockets/LED lamps turn back on or off.

"Manual switching" is switching on or off using the switch, a FRITZ!Fon, smartphone, or by mouse click in the user interface.

Periodic The sockets/LED lamps switch on and off at regular intervals. You define how long the sockets/LED lamps remain on and how long they remain off.
Once The sockets/LED lamps are switched on or off for a previously defined length of time. The time at which the sockets/LED lamps switch on or off can be chosen at will.
Sunrise/Sunset The sockets/LED lamps switch on at sunrise or at sunset (+/- 2 hours, can be set in various steps). You define how long the sockets/LED lamps remain switched on.
Calendar (Google) The sockets/LED lamps switch on and off at the times you define in your Google calendar.
Temperature Controls devices for heating (such as a fan heater, infrared heater) or cooling (like a fan). The sockets switch on or off when a previously specified temperature is reached. The temperature is measured by a FRITZ!DECT device (FRITZ!DECT 200/210/301/440) or with a suitable radiator control.
