Telephony / Telephony Devices
On the "Telephony Devices" page you set up IP telephones and smartphones that are connected with your FRITZ!Box.
Here you can also configure the answering machine of the FRITZ!Box.
Configured Telephony Devices
The overview contains the following information and operating controls for the telephony devices configured in the FRITZ!Box:
Column | Button | Meaning / Function |

Telephone Number Outgoing | The device uses this telephone number to establish outgoing connections. | |
Incoming | The device can be reached at these telephone numbers. | |
Internal | The device can be reached internally at this telephone number. | |
On/Off switch (for FRITZ!Box answering machines) | The answering machine is on. Click on the switch to turn the answering machine off. | |
The answering machine is off. Click on the switch to turn the answering machine on. | ||
Edit | Opens the device settings. | |
Delete | Deletes the device from the FRITZ!Box user interface. |
Configuring Connected Telephony Devices
Configure all connected telephony devices in the FRITZ!Box. You can configure various settings like telephone numbers for the devices that have been set up.
Instructions: Configuring a New Device
- Select "Telephony / Telephony Devices" in the user interface.
- Click on the "Configure New Device" button.
- Under "Connected with the FRITZ!Box", select a device type.
- Click on "Next" and follow the instructions in the Configuration Wizard.
Configuring the FRITZ!Box Answering Machine
You can use the FRITZ!Box as an answering machine without connecting any additional devices. If you have more than one telephone number, you can set up multiple answering machines (up to 5).

Using Internal Numbers
In the overview of telephony devices you see the internal telephone numbers of the devices. With these telephone numbers you can make (free) internal calls.
Instructions: Making Internal Calls
- On a connected telephone, dial the internal telephone number of another telephone, for instance **610.
- Pick up the handset or press the pick-up button.
