DECT / DECT Monitor
The DECT Monitor presents information on registered cordless telephones and on the FRITZ!Box as a DECT base station.
Registered Cordless DECT Telephones
The following information on registered cordless DECT telephones is presented:

IPEI | Unique device number of the cordless telephone |
Connection | "connected": the cordless telephone is currently in use for a telephone call. |
"not connected": the cordless telephone is currently idle. | |
Manufacturer | Manufacturer of the cordless telephone |
Model | Model name of the cordless telephone |
Reception level | Measurement of the field strength |
Signal quality | Quality of the connection for the current telephone call |
Mode | "Long slot": HD telephony via DECT, two slots are being used so that double the bandwidth is available. |
"Full slot": one slot is being used. | |
Tx/Rx frequency | Frequency the base station and cordless telephone have agreed to use. This is a frequency subject to as little interference as possible. |
Slot used | Time slot used for the current connection. |
Codecs | "G.722": The cordless telephone supports HD. |
"G.726": The cordless telephone does not support HD. | |
current | Codec in use currently. If both devices support HD, G.722 will be used, otherwise G.726. |
Encryption | Encryption for the current telephone call is switched on or off. |
Expanded Security | The expanded security functions include early encryption and re-keying. Eavesdropping protection for DECT telephone calls is strongest when the expanded security functions are supported by the DECT cordless telephone and enabled under "DECT / Base Station" in the FRITZ!Box user interface. |
DECT Eco | "supported": The cordless telephone supports the "DECT Eco" function. |
no entry: The cordless telephone does not support the "DECT Eco" function. |
Frequency and Time Slot
Between the registered DECT cordless telephones and the DECT base station are displayed the frequency and the time slot which the devices have negotiated for communication with each other. Two time slots are used for a HD connection.
DECT Base Station
You receive the following information on the FRITZ!Box:

Slot used | Time slot used for the current connection. or Slot used for the "dummy bearer". The "dummy bearer" is a signal emitted by the FRITZ!Box at regular intervals to announce to the registered devices that it is ready for operation. |
Tx frequency | Frequency the base station and cordless DECT telephone have agreed to use. This is a frequency subject to as little interference as possible. |
Codecs | Audio codes supported |
Firmware | Firmware version of the FRITZ!Box |
DECT Eco | The eco setting for the DECT function of the FRITZ!Box is switched on or off. "DECT Eco" can be switched on and off in the "DECT / Base Station" menu. |
DECT Eco Status | "active": All registered cordless telephones support "DECT Eco". |
"off": At least one cordless telephone is registered at the FRITZ!Box that does not support "DECT Eco". |
