"Info" Display

The "Info" LED on the upper panel of the FRITZ!Box signals various events. Some events for which the "Info" LED flashes or lights up are preset in the FRITZ!Box.
You also have the option of assigning any other event to the "Info" LED.
Assigning the "Info" Display
- In the menu "System / Buttons and LEDs", click the ""Info" Display" tab.
- In the "Freely Selectable Options" area, select from the ""Info" LED" list the additional event which is to be assigned to the "Info" LED.
- Then click the "Apply" button.
The "Info" LED now flashes or lights up not only for the preset events, but also for the event you selected.

Internet connection is active: LED lights up
The "Info" LED lights up when the FRITZ!Box is connected with the internet.
Free data volume / free online time exhausted - LED flashes
The "Info" LED flashes if you entered rate information in the "Internet / Online Monitor / Overview of Rates / Set Rate" menu and specified a limit for data volume or online time, and the specified data volume or free online time has been exhausted.
Wireless guest access enabled: LED lights up
The "Info" LED lights up if you enabled guest access via wireless LAN in the "Wireless / Guest Access" menu.
Devices registered with the wireless guest access: LED lights up
If you enabled guest access via wireless LAN in the "Wireless / Guest Access" menu, the "Info" LED lights up as soon as a guest logs in to the wireless guest access.
Device connected to LAN port: LED flashes
The "Info" LED lights up when a device connects to the LAN port of the FRITZ!Box.
Device connected to USB port: LED lights up
The "Info" LED lights up when a device connects to the USB port of the FRITZ!Box and is ready for operation. (When you connect a device to the USB port, it takes a moment before the device is ready for operation.)
Call during absence: LED flashes
The "Info" LED flashes whenever you have not accepted a call or calls. The LED stops flashing as soon as you pick up the handset of a connected telephone. Information on the missed calls is presented in the call list of the FRITZ!Box.
New answering machine message: LED flashes
The "Info" LED flashes when there are new messages on the FRITZ!Box answering machine. The LED stops flashing as soon as all new messages have been heard.
New answering machine message, call during absence or new fax: LED flashes
- The "Info" LED flashes whenever new messages are on the answering machine, calls were missed, or the FRITZ!Box received new faxes.
- The LED does not flash when the FRITZ!Box forwards a fax by email, but does not save it. Neither does the LED flash when a connected fax machine received faxes.
- The LED stops flashing when you have listened to all new messages, moved all faxes to a different folder or deleted them, and you pick up the handset of a connected telephone.
Do Not Disturb is enabled: LED lights up
The "Info" LED lights up when a configured Do Not Disturb setting is active in the FRITZ!Box.
DECT is enabled: LED lights up
The "Info" LED lights up whenever at least one DECT cordless telephone is registered at the FRITZ!Box.
No selection: LED lights up/flashes only for "preconfigured" events
The "Info" LED signals only the preset events described in the next section.
Preset Conditions for the "Info" LED
"Info" LED Flashing Green
The "Info" LED flashes green:
- An update for FRITZ!OS is in progress.
- The Wi-Fi security settings of the FRITZ!Box are transmitted automatically to a FRITZ!WLAN Stick.
- A DECT cordless telephone is being registered with the FRITZ!Box.
- A Smart Home device is being registered with the FRITZ!Box.
The "Info" LED Lights Up or Flashes Red
The "Info" LED lights up or flashes red: An error occurred.
- Open the "Overview" page of the FRITZ!Box user interface.
- Follow the instructions in the upper area of the screen.
