On the "USB Settings" page you can adjust the performance of your USB ports.
With the "Energy-saving Mode for USB Hard Drives" option you can put connected hard drives into energy-saving mode when they are idle.
Click on the "Apply" button to save your settings. If you leave the page without saving, all of your changes will be discarded.
Enabling Energy-saving Mode for USB Hard Drives
You can enable the energy-saving feature for a connected USB drive. The drive will then be set to energy-saving operation when it is idle.
Requirements
- The connected USB hard drive must support energy-saving mode.
Configuring USB Mode
Under "USB Energy-saving Mode" you can configure the FRITZ!Box's USB ports for USB 2.0 or USB 3.0:

Power Mode (USB 3.0) | Full transmission capacity During operation of USB devices, slow data transmission in the 2.4-GHz wireless network and poor voice quality on calls with DECT telephones can occur. This depends on the quality of the USB cable used. To correct such deficiencies, switch to the 5-GHz wireless network or set "Green Mode". |
