If you are not satisfied with the mobile network reception, you can check the signal strength here and use the alignment aid to achieve better reception.
Click on the "Refresh" button to view the current values.
Alignment Aid
Signal Strength
The signal strength on the mobile network antennas depends directly on the position of the antennas. Use the alignment aid there to find the best position for the mobile network antennas.
- Click on the "Start Alignment Aid" button.
- A bar diagram is displayed for each mobile network antenna. Each diagram shows the antenna's signal strength at the current time. The values for signal strength range from -140 dBm to -50 dBm, with -50 dBm the highest possible value.
- Change the position of the mobile network antennas and/or change the location of the FRITZ!Box. This will change the signal strength.
- As long as the alignment aid is enabled, the signal strength is also displayed using the LEDs on the FRITZ!Box: the more LEDs light up, the higher the signal strength.
- Click on "Stop Alignment Aid" to exit the alignment aid.
Connected Cells
Cell ID
The identification number of the access point (network cell).
Modem Version
If the mobile network connection cannot be established with the latest version of FRITZ!OS, you can enable the previous version of the FRITZ!OS software for the integrated mobile network modem.
After it has been activated, the mobile network modem of the FRITZ!Box is reinitialized. Then it will attempt to establish a mobile network connection.
Instructions: Enabling the Software Version of the Previous FRITZ!OS
- Enable the setting "Use previous software version for the integrated mobile network modem".
- Click on "Apply Settings".
Statistics
