FRITZ!Box

UE IMEI User Equipment International Mobile Equipment Identity. This is the globally unique identification number of your mobile device.

This diagram shows the strength of the mobile network's antenna signal as well as the quality of the connection on the mobile network antennas of the FRITZ!Box. The following criteria are considered:

RSRP
  • Reference Signal Received Power
  • Range of values: -140 dBm to -50 dBm
  • This value indicates the signal strength. The signal strength is the power of the reference signal averaged over the entire channel bandwidth.
SINR
  • Signal Interference Noise Ratio
  • Range of values: -10 dB to +40 dB
  • This value indicates the signal to noise ratio.
RSRQ
  • Reference Signal Received Quality
  • Range of values: -64 dB to 0 dB
  • This value indicates the quality of the reference signal.

The diagram displays the three values for each mobile network antenna on the FRITZ!Box end.

  • Every FRITZ!Box mobile network antenna receives signals from all of the transmission antenna of the mobile network access point (eNodeB). The diagram has a line for each FRITZ!Box mobile network antenna paired with a transmission antenna of the mobile network access point, in which the three values for the pair of antennas are listed.
  • Example for the notation of an antenna pair: Antenna1 (right) Rx1Tx1. This has the following meaning:
    • Antenna 1 (right): The mobile network antennas on the right of the FRITZ!Box.
    • "Rx1Tx1": This expression designates the antenna pair "Receiver antenna 1/Transmitter antenna 1", that is, antenna "1" on the FRITZ!Box and antenna "1" on the mobile network access point.

What is true for all three criteria: The higher the value displayed, the better the quality of the signal. The position of the mobile network antennas affects signal quality directly. Select the "Reception" tab and use the alignment aid there to find the best position for the mobile network antennas.

Mobile Network Connection

The tables display data on the mobile network connection:

Data throughput (kilobits per second) Highest speed of data transmission possible on the mobile network connection between FRITZ!Box and the mobile network access point.
Frequency (megahertz) The given value is the center frequency. The center frequency is the geometric mean of the lower and upper cutoff frequency.
EARFCN E-UTRA Absolute Radio Frequency Channel Number. This value unambiguously identifies the channel for the uplink and downlink frequency. E-UTRA stands for Evolved UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access.

Network Cell

PLMN The ID of the mobile network (Public Land Mobile Network)
eNodeB ID The identification number of the access point
Cell ID Global identification number of the network cell.
Physical ID An identification number for the mobile network cell assigned by the mobile network operator
Tracking Area Code ID of the tracking area (position of the subscriber)
Transmission mode Transmission method

Active Connections

PDN1 / APN

PDN stands for Packet Data Network. The PDNs are the logical networks of the mobile network connection. There may be multiple logical networks, for instance, one for the data connection to the internet and one for internet telephony.

APN stands for Access Point Name. The APN designates the point of access for the mobile network connection to the internet.

IPv4 address UE The user equipment address is the IP address on the FRITZ!Box end.
IPv4 address of PDN gateway The PDN gateway is the device in the mobile network that represents the transition to the internet. The device is displayed here with its IP address.
