Determining the Public IPv4 Address of the FRITZ!Box
- Switch on the advanced view in the FRITZ!Box user interface: Standard View and Advanced View.
- Click "Internet" in the user interface of the FRITZ!Box.
- Click on "Online Monitor" in the "Internet" menu.
- Read the IPv4 address in the "Internet, IPv4" line.
- If the message "FRITZ!Box uses a DS Lite tunnel" is displayed, then the FRITZ!Box does not have a public IPv4 address.
Private IPv4 Addresses
An IPv4 address is a private IPv4 address if it comes from one of the following address ranges:
| 10.0.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255 |
| 100.64.0.0 - 100.127.255.255 |
| 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255 |
| 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255 |
Public IPv4 Addresses
An IPv4 address that does not come from one of the private IPv4 address ranges is a public IPv4 address.
Private and Public IPv4 Addresses: Properties
