Click on the "OK" button to save your settings. If you leave the page without saving, all of your changes will be discarded.

Name

The names of the preconfigured access profiles "Standard", "Guest", "Unrestricted" and "Blocked" cannot be changed.

Time Limit

By defining periods you specify when Internet use is allowed and when it is not.

Period

First enable one of the settings "always", "never" or "restricted":

Description of the Timetable:

• On the timetable you can enter when internet use is permitted on individual weekdays and when it is not.
• Blue marking: Internet use is allowed during the periods marked in blue on the timetable.
• No blue marking: Internet use is not allowed during the periods not marked in blue.
• Each day is divided into 15-minute intervals.

Here is how to mark periods on the timetable: Click and drag

1. Place the mouse cursor at the beginning time.
2. Press and hold down the mouse button while pulling the mouse cursor to the desired end of the period permitted.
3. If the subsequent days are to receive the same marking, simply pull the mouse cursor further down.

To remove the markings, proceed just as you did to select them.

Filters for Web Pages

Using the blacklist and the whitelist filter lists you can block or allow access to web pages.

• There are no web sites preconfigured in the filter lists. This means that there are no restrictions to accessing Internet sites. Any web site can be opened.
• You must enter in these lists the web sites to which you wish to permit or prohibit access.
• Access to websites via https is not restricted ex works. If you would like to block access to https pages, you must enter these pages in the black list. Only complete domains can be blocked for https. With https it is not possible to block individual subdomains, paths or IP addresses.
• You can use only one of the two lists in an access profile, either the blacklist or the whitelist.
• When editing the lists, please note the instructions on the Help pages.

Filter web sites

Enable this option if you would like to use filter lists.

When this option is enabled, the preconfigured selection is "Block web sites (blacklist)".

Permit web sites (whitelist)

Select this setting if you would like to permit the user to visit only the web sites on the whitelist. You can write your own whitelist on the page accessed by clicking "Internet / Filter / Lists".

Block web sites (Blacklist)

Select this setting if you would like to block web site access using a blacklist. You can write your own blacklist on the page accessed by clicking "Internet / Filter / Lists".

When a blacklist is used, web sites can only be opened by entering their names (URL). It is no longer to access such web sites with the IP address. If IP addresses are entered, they are automatically entered in the list of permitted IP addresses. You can release individual IP addresses for access in the list of permitted IP addresses. IP addresses released for access can be opened.

Block web sites with adult content (German BPjM module)

If you have selected the blacklist, you can also block the web sites deemed harmful to young people (in the BPjM module). This index is compiled by the German federal government's review board.

Blocked Network Applications

Here you have the possibility to deny internet access to network applications. Select from the drop-down list the network applications to be blocked.

You can edit the list of network applications by clicking on "Internet / Filters / Lists".

Assigned Network Devices

The table shows the devices that have been assigned this access profile. The devices are listed in alphabetical order.

Assigning an access profile to a network device:

1. Select the "Parental Control" tab in the "Internet / Filter" menu.
2. Find the network device in the table.
3. Select the access profile for the network device in the "Access Profile" column.
