Configuring Call Blocks for Incoming Calls

Call blocks for incoming calls block unwanted calls. For instance, you can block telephone numbers that pester you with sales calls.

Setting Up Call Blocks

The following call blocks can be set up for incoming calls:

Call Block for	Function
individual telephone number	The FRITZ!Box does not pick up calls from the blocked telephone number.
freely selectable range of telephone numbers	The FRITZ!Box does not accept any calls from the specified range of numbers (for instance, 030 for calls from Berlin). Individual telephone numbers from blocked ranges can be excepted from the block.
calls without a telephone number (anonymous calls)	The FRITZ!Box will not accept any calls from callers who suppress their telephone number.
Telephone book	The FRITZ!Box does not accept any calls from telephone numbers registered in the selected telephone book. If you want to block a large number of telephone numbers, set up a call block for a telephone book. This way you can avoid the limits given in the rules.

In total you can configure 32 of the following calling rules: call blocks for incoming calls, call diversions for calls from contacts in the telephone book and call diversions for calls from telephone numbers.

Select "Telephony / Call Handling / Call Blocks".
Click "New Call Block".
Select "incoming calls" as the type of call, and then "Number range".
Enter a telephone number or define a range of telephone numbers. For a range of telephone numbers, enter one or more numerals (for instance, 030 for the local network in Berlin).
Click "OK".

Select "Telephony / Call Handling / Call Blocks".
Click "New Call Block".
Select "incoming calls" as the type of call, and then the "Without a number" number range.
Click "OK".

Set up a new telephone book.
Enter in the telephone book all of the telephone numbers you would like to block.
If you want to block a telephone number range, create a telephone book entry for the number "Number range+*", for instance 030* for all telephone numbers starting with 030.
Select "Telephony / Call Handling / Call Blocks".
Click "New Call Block".
Select "incoming calls" as the type of call.
Select "Telephone book" as the number range.
Select the telephone book with the telephone numbers to be blocked.
Click "OK".

You can except individual numbers that are located in a range of telephone numbers that is blocked for incoming calls.

You blocked a range of telephone numbers that includes the telephone numbers of friends who should still be able to reach you.

A telephone number can be excepted for incoming calls only if the following requirement is met:

The telephone number is saved in a telephone book entry. The telephone book entry is located in a local telephone book or in Google contacts that are set up as an online telephone book.
