Energy Monitor

System / Energy Monitor

The Energy Monitor presents you information on power consumption.

Information in the Power Consumption Display

Consumption (Amount Used)

The power consumption is displayed as a percentage. 100% corresponds to the maximum power consumption when all functions are being used.

  • The energy consumption of the FRITZ!Repeater and of the individual FRITZ!Repeater modules can be read based on how the bars in the graph are filled:
    • The first bar always shows the current consumption.
    • The second shows the average consumption for the day.
    • How far the blue bar is filled indicates what percentage of the maximum possible power consumption was used. The maximum power consumption value assumes that all FRITZ!Repeater functions are in operation.
  • The display tells you whether or not a network device is connected to a LAN port:
    • green LED icon = in use
    • gray LED icon = no device connected

Status

The "Status" column presents more detailed information on the given consumption, like the connection time, number of devices connected and transmission power.

Saving Power

The FRITZ!WLAN Repeater is designed for low power operation. The modules of the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater adapt their power consumption to current use and reduce processor power when it is idle. The following measures can be used to further reduce the power consumption of the wireless radio network:

  • Set up a schedule for the wireless radio network under "Wireless / Schedule"
  • Reduce the maximum transmitter power under "Wireless / Radio Channel"
