Network / Network Connections

On the "Network Connections" page, you receive information on devices that are connected with the FRITZ!Repeater in the following cases:

  • Adoption of the Wi-Fi settings from the Mesh of the FRITZ!Box was disabled.
  • The FRITZ!Repeater is located in the home network of a FRITZ!Box without Mesh or in the network of another router.

If the FRITZ!Repeater adopts the Wi-Fi settings from the Mesh, you will receive information on the network connections in the FRITZ!Box user interface.

Network Connections

This table contains:

  • devices that are connected with the FRITZ!Repeater (active connections)
  • devices that are known to the FRITZ!Repeater (inactive connections)

Information in the Table

Active Internet connection The network device is connected with the FRITZ!Repeater and sending or receiving data via the internet connection
Icon The network device is connected with the FRITZ!Repeater.
Name For network devices that can be reached via HTTP, the device name is a link to the device's user interface (for instance, FRITZ!Box or another FRITZ!Repeater).
Connection Connection Type: Wi-Fi or LAN cable
IP Address The local, non-public IP address at which the network device can be reached in the home network.
Properties

additional properties, including the data rate in both the send and receive directions

means "Connected with the FRITZ!Box via".

Buttons

ButtonFunction
Opens further information about the device.
Deletes the device from the overview. If a network device registers with the FRITZ!Repeater again, it will register as a new, unknown device.

Add Device

Using the "Add Device" button you can add devices to be connected later and make them known to the FRITZ!Repeater. A device that is already known to the FRITZ!Repeater can be assigned a fixed IP address even before it is connected.

Requirements

  • You know the MAC addresses of the devices to be added.

Example

Parental controls should be configured in the FRITZ!Box for any computer to be connected with the FRITZ!Repeater. For this the IP address of the computer in the home network is required. The computer cannot be connected with the FRITZ!Repeater until after parental controls are configured.
