System / Event Log
The FRITZ!Box logs information about operation and error messages in the Event Log.
Note:Messages triggered by programs on connected computers are not displayed in the Event Log, only in the respective program.
Using the Event Log
- Click an event if you would like to view additional information about it.
- You can have all events displayed, or select individual areas from the selection list.
|Telephony||on telephony (for instance, the Internet telephone numbers registered)|
|Internet Connection||on the Internet connection (for instance, when the connection was established and cleared)|
|USB Devices||on the USB port|
on the wireless radio network (for instance, when the wireless radio network switched on and off)
The FRITZ!Box can also log every instance when a wireless device registered or deregistered. For this, enable the "Log registrations and deregistrations" checkbox on the "Wireless" tab and click "Apply".
Registration with and deregistration of devices with the wireless LAN guest access is not logged. You can have these events sent to you via push service. The push services are located in the "System" menu.

Deleting the Event Log
Because the FRITZ!Box has only limited space to store events, the oldest events are deleted at regular intervals to make room for new events. Every time the FRITZ!Box is restarted, all events are deleted as well.
In addition to this automated deletion of events by the FRITZ!Box, you have the option to delete all events manually.
- Select the "All" area in the selection list.
- Click on the "Delete List" button.
