Telephones and other telephony devices configured in the FRITZ!Box have internal numbers. These numbers can be used to make (free) internal calls and to operate the answering machine of the FRITZ!Box.
Making Internal Calls
You can make internal calls between telephones that are connected with the FRITZ!Box and configured under "Telephony / Telephony Devices" in the user interface.
List of Internal Numbers in the FRITZ!Box Telephone Book
The internal numbers are located in the FRITZ!Box telephone book on the the "Internal numbers" tab.
Instructions: Making Internal Calls
- Enter an internal telephone number on the telephone.
- Pick up the handset or press the pick-up button.
Making Internal Calls in the Mesh with More than One FRITZ!Box
If you have configured a second FRITZ!Box as a Mesh Repeater, you can also make internal calls between telephones on the Mesh Master and telephones on the Mesh Repeater.
Requirements
- In the Mesh Master you enabled the "Use Telephony in the Mesh" function (see Using Telephony in the Mesh).
- You made the internal telephone numbers of the telephones connected to the Mesh Repeater known in the Mesh (see Using Telephony in the Mesh).

The internal telephone numbers for all telephones in the Mesh are listed in the telephone book of the FRITZ!Box that is the Mesh Master.

- Enter an internal telephone number on the telephone.
- Pick up the handset or press the pick-up button.
Special Internal Numbers
Internal Numbers with Special Functions

| Answering machine (memo) | **605 - **609 | Every FRITZ!Box answering machine has an internal number for memos (voice memos). If you enable the "Send messages via email" setting for the answering machine, you will automatically receive your recorded memos by email. |
